Wesleyan Barbados

Privacy Policy

Effective September 6, 2026

This policy explains how the Wesleyan Holiness Church Barbados District, operating this website as Wesleyan Barbados, handles information through its public website and administrative services.

Information we collect

Wesleyan Barbados provides public church information and private administrative tools for authorized district and local church personnel. Public visitors can generally use the website without creating an account.

For authorized administrators, we process account information such as an email address, Firebase user identifier, authentication records, and the church or district role associated with the account. We also process content that administrators submit, including church information, notices, media, and statistical reports.

Google user data

The district statistics integration connects one authorized, district-controlled Google account. With that account’s permission, the application accesses Google Sheets that contain Wesleyan Barbados statistical reports.

The application reads values and formulas from assigned statistical workbooks so authorized church administrators can view the correct reporting year and quarter. It writes only values that an authorized administrator deliberately changes. Formula-backed cells are displayed as read-only and are not modified by the application.

We receive the connected Google account’s email address solely to confirm that the correct district-controlled account authorized the integration. We do not access Google contacts, Gmail, calendars, photos, or unrelated Drive files.

How information is used

Information is used to operate the website, authenticate administrators, maintain church and district records, compile ministry statistics, prevent unauthorized changes, provide support, and protect the integrity of the service.

Google user data is used only to provide the statistical reporting functionality described above. It is not used for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, or any purpose unrelated to Wesleyan Barbados administration.

Storage and security

Application records are stored using service providers including Google Firebase and Vercel. Google OAuth refresh tokens are encrypted before being stored and are never sent to church administrators’ browsers. Statistical changes are recorded in an audit log with the acting administrator, time, reporting period, and fields changed.

Draft statistical entries may be stored locally in the administrator’s browser until they are submitted or cleared. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell personal information or Google user data. Information is shared only with authorized Wesleyan Barbados personnel, service providers that process it on our behalf, or when required to comply with law, protect rights and safety, or investigate misuse.

Wesleyan Barbados’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Retention and deletion

Administrative and statistical records are retained for as long as needed for church reporting, historical records, legal obligations, security, and continuity of district operations. Local browser drafts remain until submitted, cleared, or removed through browser storage controls.

The district may disconnect the Google integration and delete its stored OAuth credential. The connected account can also revoke access at any time from its Google Account permissions. Authorized users may request correction or deletion of applicable personal information by contacting us.

Contact us

Questions about this policy, privacy requests, or the Google Sheets integration can be sent to whc.districttech.bds@gmail.com or directed to the Wesleyan Holiness Church Barbados District office at “Wickham House,” Whitepark Road, St. Michael, Barbados, telephone (246) 429-3692 or (246) 426-4888.

Managing Google access

Access can be reviewed or revoked from the connected account’s Google Account connections. Revoking access prevents future Google Sheets synchronization until the district reconnects the account.
